The Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Ogun State chapter on Sunday rejected the ongoing announcement of the state’s Governorship and Houses of Assembly election results by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The Director General of APM campaign organization, Alhaji Sarafa Tunji-Ishola made known the position of the party on Sunday while addressing a press conference at APM secretariat, Leme in Abeokuta.
Disclosing the reason for the rejection, Alhaji Tunji-Ishola said the election exercise, which started on a peaceful note, was disrupted as the counting of votes were being completed by hoodlums and unidentified uniform men who hijacked the process and went ahead to falsify result sheets.
Explaining the next line of action if INEC continues the process, APM Director General, who was also supported by the Governorship candidate of the party, Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade said the party will explore every means within the provisions of the constitution and under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to challenge the injustice
