Covid-19: Nigerian Breweries distributes stimulus package to Ogun NUJ

The Nigerian Breweries Plc has donated some relief materials to members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council to further cushion the effects of the covid-19 pandemic on media practitioners.
The presentation was done at the Iwe – Iroyin Secretariat of the council, Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta, the state capital.
Delivering the items, the Corporate Affairs Manager (South West) of the company, Mr Tayo Adelaja said the company appreciates the cordial relationship between the company and the media.
He added that the relief package is a way to further say ‘thank you’ to journalists in the state for discharging their duties.
In his words, “on behalf of the management and staff of Nigeria Breweries Plc, I wish to thank you for your partnership, support and coverage of all our initiatives across the country”
“Your objective reportage of our activities has no doubt contributed in sustaining our brand reputation and image, which is critical to our continued business operations and success in Nigeria.
“As the world adjusts to the harsh global realities brought about by covid-19, we realized that more than ever that this is the time for us to be there with our friends in the media who may have been negatively impacted by the virus”.
The Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ogun State Council, Mrs Omolola Adeyinka who received the items on behalf of the members, thank the company for remembering Journalists in the state at this trying times
She further reiterates the commitment of members of the Union on objectives reportage of all activities of the company when called upon, adding that with the kind gestures, the relationship between the two organisations can only be stronger.
She therefore used the opportunity to call on other well meaning companies to assist journalists in the state, especially with the fight against covid-19 raging on.
