The General Overseer of the RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has joined the initiative to support government fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
He did this with the donation of medical equipment to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH, Lagos State) on Thursday.
The initiative was carried out through the RCCG Christian Social Responsibility, a non-profit arm of the mission.
The value of each of the ventilators is between $10,000 to $30,000.
“The general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG), Pastor E.A Adeboye just donated a full ward of Category A Ventilators ($10,000-$30,000 for one) at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital,” the foundation said.
“Without Ventilators, a patient may not survive COVID 19. Thank you, sir, for your generosity.”
Meanwhile, the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC) of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, Lagos, Prof. Wasiu Adeyemo, has advised the public to stop coming to the hospital, any general hospitals, or Federal Medical Centre, for any suspected case of COVID-19 testing.
Adeyemo restated that the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) in Yaba, has been designated as the centre that would handle suspected case of Coronavirus, where infectious disease experts are expected to take blood samples and send it to their designated laboratory.
