Following the resignation of former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel from active politics, a close associate, Otunba Adewale Osinubi has revealed that Daniel would still continue to offer advices as well as make himself available for consultations.
Daniel on Saturday submitted his resignation letter to the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), addressed to the party’s national Chairman, Uche Secondus.
The former Governor, in his letter, explained that he took the decision in order to rejuvenate his charity organization, the Gateway Front Foundation (GFF) which would continue to bring succor to the needy in the society .
Osinubi, popularly known as WESCO, argued that Daniel has given his best in improving Nigeria’s politics hence he was part of those who advised him to quit
His words: “I was part of the think thank that advised him to resign, our leader, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has given his best in politics as far as I am concerned.
“It is good to quit when the ovation is loudest, We need fresh blood in the system, new pilots with genuine desire to win elections, without selfish interest or greed.
“Otunba Daniel will still be available for consultations, advices and support to candidates that seek for his support and assistance in winning elections”.
