Gbemiga Ogunleye clocks 60, launches journalism book at NIJ on Saturday

The provost of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Mr Gbemiga Ogunleye, will, on Saturday, January 5, celebrate his 60th birthday with a lecture and the launch of his book on the media.

Ogunleye, who started his journalism career at the Guardian before he became Editor of Punch, was also editor at NEXT as well as News Director at TVC before he joined Nigeria’s premier journalism training institute as Provost.

The Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of The Nation newspapers, Mr Victor Ifijeh is the Guest Lecturer at the event which takes place at NIJ Hall, Ogba in Lagos. He will deliver a paper on the topic: Survival of the Print Media in the Digital Age. The event starts at 10 a.m

Thereafter, guests will witness the presentation of Ogunleye’s book – The Editor’s Front Row Views.
