All is set for the first International Drinks Festival in Africa holding at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos from December 1 to 3.
The festival will feature an exhibition of existing global brands, including alcoholic, non-alcoholic, herbs, juice and soft drinks with emphasis on their exquisiteness, smoothness, quality, affordability, compliance with regulatory benchmarks and credibility of their brewers.
Unveiling the initiative, the Chief Executive Officer of Balmoral Group, Ezekiel Adamu said the festival will provide a platform for robust interaction and networking between industry players whilst addressing issues hindering smooth production, marketing, distribution, and regulation of the sector.
Adamu, added that “some 10,000 consumers, 5,000 experts, including regulators, 200 exhibitors and an undisclosed number of blue-chip foreign investors are to converge at the event, with numerous spillover benefits on the nation’s economy.”
Speaking in the same vein, the Chief Operating Officer of Balmoral Group, Mr. Akin Eso, said the hosting of the event given to Nigeria was another “international recognition of its strategic importance in the world, especially with regards to its strong economic strength in the continent.”
