The three persons kidnapped on Ileya day at Ode Omi in ijebu Waterside local government area , Ogun state have been rescued unhurt by men of the state police command.
The victims are Adamson Bamidele, Adam Jelili and Sanni Azeez.
The victims were rescued in the early hour of today, following intensive pursuing of the hoodlums who took them to the creek.
According to a statement by the Command’s Spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi the rescue mission was led by the Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama and ” they made use of police helicopter for aerial surveillance of the creek where the hoodlums were tracked to.
” When the heat was too much on them, they were left with no other option than to release their captives”.
Oyeyemi revealed that one suspect has been arrested in connection with the case while efforts are on to apprehend the remaining members of the gang.
The Police boss, Oyeyemi said, has ordered the anti- kidnapping team as well as other tactical squads in the command to do everything possible to bring the hoodlums to book.
He disclosed that the victims have since been reunited with their families.
