A 35 year-old suspected ritualist, Yewunu Tanlaju, has disclosed that he lured and killed a 17 year-old puff-puff seller, Taye Gusinu , after buying N40 worth of the snack from her.
Tanlaju who was paraded Monday among 13 other suspects by the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Illiyasu at the State police headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta explained that he tied the girl’s hand and slaughtered her for ritual purposes.
The suspects were arrested for various offences, ranging from impersonation, armed robbery, cultism and rape.
Tanlaju connived with two other accomplices, Olusoji Asamo, 27, a herbalist and Joyi Suru, 31 who were arrested at Arigo Ijofin in Ipokia local council area.
Tanlaju revealed that he removed the girl’s private part, head, heart, intestines, hands and dumped the remains inside a well.
He sold the removed parts to Asamo, the herbalist who contracted him and collected N8,500, revealing that it was the second time he would give human parts to Asamo.
The suspect said his first victim was a 14 year-old girl and he collected N10,000 on delivery.
But Asamo denied that he contracted Tanloju for the job, admitting that he gave him the N8,500 in order to expose him
Among the suspects paraded were three fake soldiers who were arrested at a training base located at Adigbe area of Abeokuta after receiving intelligence information.
They are Timileyin Olaniyan, Pelumi Olatunde and Arowolo Gbenga.
Items recovered from them were two jack knives, two fake Nigeria Navy identity cards and one tear gas canister.
