Amosun’s aide promises smooth and transparent handover of baton to incoming adminstration

Ogun State government on Monday assured the incoming administration of a truthful, transparent and accountable handover note.

Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa made the assurance when his Transition Committee met with Abiodun’s delegation led by the Deputy Governor – elect, Naimot Salako – Oyedele at the Governor’s Office, Oke – Mosan, Abeokuta.

The transition committee consisted of 26-member with 11 members from the incumbent while 15 came from the incoming administration.

Adeoluwa told the delegation that state government had setup a transition committee since last year’s December contrary to public insinuations of delay and have been meeting every week in order to ensure seamless transition.

The SSG who revealed that preparation are in top gear, said
keys to the Government House are ready if he intends “to move in tomorrow.”

Adeoluwa while promising a smooth transition ahead of May 29, said his government would not “bequeath disorder on his successor. “.
He said “We will be in position to hand over a comprehensive handover note to you on May 28, 2019. By God’s grace ,28th of May ,2019, we can sit down like this and hand over to you. We have not been sleeping so as to have a smooth running of the transition.”

“Government house ,Oke-Igbein is ready, If you want to move in tomorrow. Both the Presidential lodge and government house are ready. As soon as you tell us when you need the keys to the government house and that of the Presidential lodge ,we will make them available”, he added.

Speaking at the end of the meeting, the Deputy Governor – elect, said they came in order to share information, know inauguration activities as well as logistics ahead of the inauguration.

She said with the discussion they held, she was satisfied with the government’s preparation so far.

The Deputy Governor – elect said they would continue to interact till May 21st which is their final meeting day.
