The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has sensationally excluded the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Valentine Kzigbo from its list of candidates cleared for the November 6 Anambra governorship election.
The Commission, in a statement by its National Commissioner and Chairman Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, cited Court Order for exclusion of Ozigbo.
Also missing on the list is factional candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Professor Chukwuma Soludo. Soludo emerged winner of the APGA faction loyal to Governor Willie Obiano.
However the Commission cleared the candidate of the other APGA faction. Chukwuma Micheal Umeoji for the poll, leaving the fate of Soludo, a former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, hanging. ( The Nation)
