Former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel on Thursday registered as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Daniel, alongside his wife, Mrs Olufunke Daniel registered at ward 12, Ishote unit in Sagamu – Remo, area of the State.
The Ward Chairman, Mr Suji Olusegun conducted the registration exercise while it was supervised by Mr Ademorin Kuye, the state Chairman of APC Registrations and Revalidation committee .
Cityvoice recalled that the former governor was on Tuesday officially defected to the APC, barely two years after quitting the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He was received into APC at his Asoludero Court, Sagamu by Gov. Dapo Abiodun, Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi) , Kano State governor Abdullahi Ganduje and Niger State Governor, Abubakar Bello.
Daniel said the decision to join APC was well considered and thought out, explaining that Nigeria needed leaders to come together and speak with one voice in order to tackle challenges.
His words: “In Ogun, no better time because we have a working governor and needs support of all”.
