Mr Jalingo was only recently freed after nearly six months in detention. His detention followed a publication alleging that Cross River State Governor Ben Ayade diverted N500 million from the state’s treasury to fund an election.

At Osogbo, Olawale Bakare, the #RevolutionNow co-convener who was granted bail alongside Omoyele Sowore in 2019 was also rearrested by the Department of State Services (DSS).

He was arrested alongside six others at the ongoing #RevolutionNow protest at Olaiya junction in Osogbo, Osun state capital.
